The New Parent Guide is an informative magazine for adopters of cats and dogs! Now in it’s 12th year, the New Parent Guide is proudly distributed through a national network of over 1,100 humane organizations to help educate adopters on how to care for their dog or cat.
The New Parent Guide is filled with valuable information and covers topics such as pet behavior and training, veterinary care, kids and pets, basic companion animal needs and much, much more. It is trusted information pet adopters can turn to for the life of their pet.
Our Mission
The mission of the New Parent Guide is to give humane organizations, animal shelters, rescue groups, humane societies, animal care facilities, and more, a comprehensive FREE educational resource that they can pass along to their potential and new adopters. We’ve filled the magazine with pages of information and insight on virtually every aspect of canine and feline care. We’ve made certain it is written and reviewed by the best and brightest in the companion animal field, from veterinarians and trainers to behavioral experts and shelter animal specialists. It’s current, helpful and most importantly for your new pet, it’s rooted in humane principles.
